Dream Big Baseball's Personal Instructors

 

Dream Big Baseball is proud to offer our teams and community with the opportunity to take advantage of our personal one-on-one baseball/softball instruction.  Our instructors are current college/ex-college players and former professional players that have the knowledge and ability to help your athlete become a better baseball/softball player and are dedicated to teaching players what it takes to elevate their talents.  Please scroll down to view all the instructors that we have on staff and feel free to contact those individuals to set up lessons at your convenience.





 Mike Gibson has 29 years of baseball coaching experience at various levels. He was the founder/co-founder of two seperate travel organizations (Indiana Bandits and Mt. Vernon Pythons). Mike has 17 years of experience coaching high level travel baseball. Also, Coach Gibson was the head Varsity coach at Mt. Vernon High School for 7 years. During that time, his teams posted an overal record of 110-70 and let Mt. Vernon to their first overall Hoosier Heritage Conference Championship in nearly 20 years. While coaching high school baseball, Mike has produced 20 college baseball players, including his two oldest sons, Austin and Taylor. Mike currently is an owner of Dream Big Baseball Inc. and is the head coach of the 17U Revolution team. He will be offering: pitching, fielding, and hitting lessons. Clint Goocher :STUDENTathleteWorld.com Indiana Coordinator. Clint Goocher played professional baseball for 7 years in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization where he was twice named a minor league All-Star. He also played professionally with the Gary South Shore RailCats of the American Association and Caracas Leones of the Venezuelan Winter League. Goocher played collegiately at the University of Texas as well as at San Jacinto College where he was twice named a Junior College All American and was named the Most Outstanding Pitcher at the 2003 Junior College World Series. Now as a member of the STUDENTathleteWorld.com team, he helps high school STUDENTathletes fulfill their dreams of playing sports at the college level through a very personal and strategically focused approach. Olivia Barnhart
has been involved in competitive softball for 11 years.  She has been a pitcher since she was 10 years old, but also is extremely knowledgable about outfielding and first base.  She played softball at Greenfield Central High School for 4 years.  Feel free to contact Olivia for any softball related lessons at (317) 607-7440 or email at


Taylor Gibson is currently a junior at Marian University after transferring from Earlham college.  During his sophomore year at Earlham, Gibson finished 3rd on the team for Batting Avg. and was tied for 2nd in Stolen Bases.  Taylor has played shortstop/second base since his freshman year in high school (Mt. Vernon) and will continue to do so for Marian in the 2012-2013 season. Austin Gibson is currently the Owner/President of Dream Big Baseball Inc.  He played college baseball at Transylvania University (Lexington, KY) for 2 years and then transferred to Marian University for his final 2 years.  While at Marian, Gibson was a .314 hitter but was better known for his defensive ability at the Catcher position.  Gibson earned All- Conference honors his junior year and won the conference Gold-Glove award his junior and senior year.  Austin currently offers Hitting and Catching lesson.  Contact Austin at (317) 450-6339 or email at
Nathan Underwood recently returned to Indiana, after coaching in South Florida the past couple years. He will not only be joining the Dream Big Baseball team, he will also be returning as an assistant coach at Marian University. Coach Underwood has over 10 years as a college coach (St. Joseph's (IN) College, Purdue University, Kaskaskia (IL) College, Flagler (FL) College, Marian University). He also has extensive experience at the high school level, both as an assistant and a head coach; most recently as the assistant coach at West Boca Raton (FL). While at West Boca, Underwood helped the Bulls to their first ever state championship, finishing the season as Baseball America's #9 ranked team nationally. He has coached over 40 players that have played professional baseball; a couple notable players from Indiana - 2002 #1 overall pick Bryan Bullington and current Philadelphia Phillies, Josh Lindblom. Nate also has experience as a professional scout (Tampa Bay Rays); he worked in two prestigious MLB sanctioned college wooden bat summer leagues (Northwoods and Valley League) and was co-founder of NABF World Series participant college prep team (Indiana Blue Storm).  Coach Underwood works with hitters, infielders and outfielders. John Feltner
joined the Dream Big Baseball family as the Head Coach of the 14U Revolution team.  John graduated from Lawrence North High School in 2005 where he was a Varsity catcher.  During his Junior year, he was the "Defensive Player of the Year" and the Team Captain.  His Senior year, he won the "Iron Man Award", was named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County, and a All-State North Nominee.  After high school, Coach Feltner played college baseball at Oakland City University.  He had a career batting average of .340 during his four year span.  His Junior year he was named "Defensive Player of the Year" and was also the Team Captain.  His Senior year he was also named "Defensive Player of the Year", First Team All-Region, and was also the Team Captain.  After his college playing days were over, John signed his first pro contract with Independent Leage team Schaumburg Flyers.  He was also the 4th round pick of the Frontier League team River City Rascals.  Coach Feltner now is the 14U Revolution head coach and will be offering catching and hitting lessons.  Contact John at (317) 213-0822 or email at
